waytoB develops assistive technology for training people with disabilities to become more independent. Their first product, also called waytoB, is a smartphone and smartwatch solution to support people with higher support needs to travel independently, whilst providing peace of mind to loved ones. waytoB is a fully-fledged safeguarding and travel training platform that not only supplies directions, but includes a management interface which allows client organisations (local authorities and charities) to monitor the individuals they are travel training, both in real time and historically. In addition, it provides a comprehensive alerting function for carers/family members.
All the offerings are software-based, which can be rolled out extremely quickly and efficiently. Space technology is essential to any navigation solution, but so far has really only been used for its GNSS constellations to help determine a user’s position on Earth. waytoB allows a person to tap one button and be guided to their destination without ever having to look at a map or figure out where the blue dot is in relation to the map they are on.
